The celebrated 1800 distillery has produced many excellent tequilas over the years that explore a range of taste profiles, beautifully presented in striking bottles. For the holiday season, they’ve teamed up with former professional basketball player Carmelo Anthony for a special release that combines tequila with fashion and sports. The 1800 Tequila x Carmelo Anthony Holiday Drop Shop combines a stunning limited-edition collection celebrating the 10-time NBA star and entrepreneur’s sporting achievements with a series of bespoke items.
For the clothing, 1800 collaborated with Carmelo Anthony’s iconic lifestyle brand, STAYME70, to produce a hoodie, varsity jacket, snapback hat, and embroidered patch featuring the slogan, “When in doubt, drink tequila.”
The varsity jacket is made with 100% Italian heather gray wool and lambskin leather sleeves, while the hoodie is constructed with heavyweight 3-end fleece for additional warmth over winter. The dedication to high-quality source materials is reflected in the 1800 Tequila x Carmelo Anthony Holiday Drop Shop’s tequila starter kit, which includes the fabric patch along with a 750ml bottle of 1800 Cristalino tequila.
It’s a crystal clear tequila with a subtle oak aroma that offers hints of vanilla, finished in a port wine cask and with a flavor that combines citrus and nut. In the spirit of the holiday season, all proceeds from the apparel sales will be used to improve community access to recreational facilities through The Anthony Carmelo Foundation.
